After receiving this item as a Christmas present, I immediately saw its potential for keeping my tea warm at my desk whilst I’m working in the electronics laboratory where beverages, hot or cold, are forbidden (for obvious reasons). Imagine my disappointment then when, on my first day back at work after the Christmas break, I made myself a nice cup of Earl Grey, went to the lab for a while, and then came back to find my tea cold. She finally told me it was pretty useless and wasn’t really any point plugging it in … Got this coaster for my friend at Xmas to use at her desk at work. I kept asking her but constantly got a vague response as to how it was. She finally told me it was pretty useless and wasn’t really any point plugging it in etc for about 5 minutes more warmth. Really disappointed as when you give something as a present you feel responsible if the product isn’t up to scratch!
