Fantastico! This is the Gino book I have been waiting for, 100 recipes using a minimum of fuss and maximum of flavour that will have you spending many a happy hour in the kitchen as well as some great info on Italy and best of all that insight into what it was like for Gino growing up and life in Italy, its certainly on a par with the Two Greedy Italians books!
Amazing I’m generally a terrible cook but can honestly say that these recipes are so simple and bursting with flavour that even I’ve impressed the family. A lot of the recipes use similar ingredients to each other so it’s a cheap and easy way to cook, lots of colour and flavour, best cook book ever (and I’ve bought loads)
Enjoyable book I like this book. It has a good feel to it with an impressive variety of recipes with some good background information and a few well placed hints and tips. If a recipe requires a little more explanation, the book doesn’t try to squeeze the recipe onto one page, it continues onto the next one as necessary. It has the recipe title in Italian at the top of the page, and in English in a slightly smaller font underneath. I appreciate that this book is to accompany a TV series so as such it’s not…
