A bit disappointing I bought this to replace a previous model which had given a few years of good service before ‘expiring’ recently. – unfortunately, this newer model simply doesn’t do the same job as its predecessor. I like my coffee and was in the habit of brewing a potful every morning, which my older model would keep hot all day or until I had finished it all. Perhaps I should have read the blurb more closely before buying this newer version as it has an on/off switch with an auto cut out feature. The manual…

It brews coffee some times It seems to switch itself off at random points either during brewing or while keeping coffee warm. I think it’s the switch which I was disappointed with anyway as I used to time my previous one with a smart plug (like an old fashioned “teasmade”) so it was ready when I got up but the switching system doesn’t allow this.To add to this it leaks and is really poor compared to my old cheaper one which I had to replace after 5 years of constant use.

Quick and easy I bought this to replace our previous percolator when the element died. It’s easy to use and the coffee is ready really quickly. It took some time to get used to pressing the button in to start the percolating process (our previous pot started immediately the mains switch was flicked on) and again after you have lifted the pot off the base to pour the first cupfuls out and it’s a little irritating that it cuts out after 40 minutes.
