CHAMBORD is a true original – the classic French press coffee maker designed in the fifties. And Bodum still produce it with the same painstaking craftsmanship that was used way back when with the original was made. The frame and lid, made of steel, undergo several chrome plating processes to obtain a durable shiny surface that will last for many years of intense use. The only difference in the production process since the fifties is Bodum’s commitment to the highest standards of environmentally correct manufacturing, which is especially important during the chrome plating process. The black CHAMBORD Polypropylene handle comes in a matte finish that not only gives a comfortable grip while serving but adds to the classic quality of the design. The French press system has always been the simplest and ultimate way of brewing an excellent cup of coffee. Using fresh coarse ground beans with water between 92 and 96 degrees celsius brings out the very best in all types of coffee. The coffee maker produces up to 3 cup/0.35l/12oz and is 18.9cm/7.4in high. It is dishwasher safe.

Desktop Coffee I’ve had one of these for years and its never broken. Recently my other half took ours to work so I brought a new one. Classic French Press Bodum was founded in Denmark, is now headquartered in Switzerland and made this French Press in Portugal – I’m now drinking an Italian coffee made in it! Talk about a European product. I’ve used a number of Cafetiere s over the years but this is my first Bodem model and it is much better than the other brands I’ve owned. This French Press is available in a variety of sizes but I find the 0.35 Litre size is just right for me, but if you drink a lot of coffee or brew for a number of people…

Works well Make sure to grind coarse, rinse every time with water (no soap) follow the instructions and you will have great coffee every time. It renders stronger than drip and a lot lighter than espresso, almost like a shop bought black americano. It misses a star because no matter what grind you use you always get residue in your cup
