Excellent coffee for decent money. I believe one needs two ingredients for the perfect cup of coffee: good coffee and a good machine. I’ve experimented with different machines, including electric ones with a lot of bells and whistles and eventually I’ve set for the Bialetti Moka machine. Why? The simple and effective design make is bomb proof and delivers quality coffee every morning. No pumps that break, no calc build up or other issues. Great little coffee pot Great little coffee pot. I use it for a single cup of coffee and it does that well. It gives a medium sized strong cup of coffee for one using 1.5-2 scoops of loose coffee. Alternatively you could pack it with 3-4 scoops and use it as intended for 3-4 shots of crema/espresso and make americanos with additional hot water, if you wanted. To be honest I’ll be buying a 9 or 12 cup bialetti for that purpose.

Follow a few simple rules and coffee heaven awaits. Capable of making outstanding coffee. Strong and rich – almost espresso consistency. A 4 cup version really only makes enough for one or two coffees depending on how much you dilute it with milk or water – I only get 1 strongish cup out of it. I’ve had these Bialettis for years and over time I have learned a few tips. 1) Always fill the coffee holder to the absolute brim (and a bit more) then level it off with the back of a tea-spoon, tamping the coffee only very slightly, then run your finger…
