Works OK if you don’t grind coffee too fine. This one works but is a little weird. It does the spluttering BEFORE the coffee has started rising instead of being a signal the coffee is ready. I also encountered problems until I learned (thanks, RDI) that I need to set the coffee grinder to a coarser setting than the one I had been using on previous stovetop models. Until I did that it dribbled hot coffee down the handle in its final stages of percolation, meaning you had to be careful not to scorch your fingers when you picked it up. It is…
Great Coffee Maker I bought this because I love coffee and we have an induction hob. It produces two large cups of coffee , piping hot and tasting superb. As usual with anything like this always buy the best coffee, you won’t be disappointed. The aromas great too, one word of warning, it gets hot on the hob so just take care, ( no more than a kettle but just a warning), overall brilliant, looks good and does the job admirable, easy to clean is a bonus.
Yes, I like its lovely sleek design and decent coffee quantity… but watch out for escaping steam It cleans up well and hold enough for a couple of decent mugs of coffee. The only thing to watch is:1) Despite closing tightly, steam does escape through the sealed bottom/top unit.2) I usually hold the handle with a tea towel when pouring because heat has also escaped through the back of the lid (where that nice little black lip is).Overall, yes I like it.
