Good design and value for money This AmazonBasics comes in no-frills packaging and without instructions although most people will soon get the hang of using it. What marks this coffee maker out is its simplicity and good quality build. Rather than relying on a heated hotplate to keep the coffee hot it has a stylish, insulated stainless steel jug which keeps the coffee hot (capacity = 1L approx. 8 average cups). Disappointing. Coffee not hot enough. This is a very nice looking machine, but somewhat bigger than I was expecting. standing 15 inches high by approx 8 inches wide. Too basic; doesn’t provide hot enough coffee, and has no hotplate. The AmazonBasics range is, as its name suggests, a no-frills range of goods at economical prices (although there is no price available on this item as yet, I wouldn’t expect it to be any different). Usually, the items in the range are of a comparable quality to perfectly serviceable items nearer the lower end of the market, and as such, I have been very happy with almost everything I have tried from the range.
